York Coffee Roastery is a new member of the MaxAbilities Family. MaxAbilities of York County, formerly the York County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs, has been in operation for over 40 years providing services and supports to individuals in York County with intellectual disabilities, autism and head and spinal cord injuries. The desire for a great cup of coffee and the need to find a sustainable and non-Medicaid based source of Job coaching for those with intellectual disabilities collided in a bold venture for MaxAbilities in 2015. The idea took on a working form in 2017 with the purchase of 132 Blackburn Street in York and 4 Sonofresco Fluid Bed roasters. As we partner with a few other small coffee roasters to purchase beans from the far away regions of Ethiopia, to the shade covered mountain slopes of Honduras, we continually look far and wide to gather the highest quality beans from around the world. We freshly roast our coffee, package it in valve bags, and immediately ship it to you. This is how we ensure that you receive your coffee in the freshest condition possible. A cup of coffee is more than a morning eye-opener; it is an experience that should be savored one sip at a time.
